You want your LASIK to include CONTOURA® Vision

Contura Vision.jpgCONTOURA® Vision is state-of-the-art, topography-guided LASIK treatment that is the latest FDA approved LASIK eye surgery technology available in the U.S.

Why CONTOURA® Vision?

This new technology has unique capabilities that provides Ophthalmologist, Ken Lindahl at the Rochester Eye and Laser Center, a greater degree of personalization.  No other LASIK procedure available in the U.S. is this precise and individualized. The procedure is redefining the term “quality of vision” with studies showing that many patients experienced better vision than they ever did with glasses or contact lenses.

CONTOURA® Vision is technology tailored to your eyes alone!

Don't you want the best technology for your eyes? Just like your fingerprint is unique to you, CONTOURA® Vision creates a LASIK procedure that's completely unique to your eyes. CONTOURA® Vision precisely maps up to 22,000 unique elevation points on each of your eyes. No other technology can do this.

Seeing Lasers

Choosing to undergo any surgical procedure can be scary. But then again, so were monsters when you were nine years old (and you got over that fairly well). The saying goes that knowledge is power. So let’s get you powered up, by getting you up to speed.

LASIK, Step-By-Step

Explaining in seconds what takes just a matter of minutes...

STEP 1 — PREPPING

Before you get to the main event, Dr. Lindahl will perform a preliminary eye exam and give you anesthetic drops to numb your eyes.

STEP 2 — MAPPING SUCCESS

Dr. Lindahl requires a more tailored procedure for his LASIK patients, and utilizes topography-guided LASIK (Contoura Vision), which takes specific topographic measurements of your eye to deliver a more customized approach to your treatment.

STEP 3 — LASERS!

Using light energy (a fancy way of saying “laser”), Dr. Lindahl will reshape your cornea with the Wavelight EX500. In minutes, the procedure is over and healing begins — generally without pain or bandages and you are on your way to clearly better vision.
