Welcome to 2020, Looking Back

Welcome to 2020, Looking Back

2020 Happy New YearAs a new year and decade begins, we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of the great things that have taken place at the Rochester Eye & Laser Center in 2019. We’ve welcomed exciting new technology and a few new faces. We’ve invited our patients into our events to learn about our services, ask question and meet our exemplary staff, dedicated to ensuring clearly better vision for every patient who comes through our door.

Here are a few of our proudest highlights from this year:

We have a long-standing tradition of staying on the leading edge with our vision technology and this year was no different.  We introduced a new trifocal lens available for cataract patients looking to correct their vision at all distances. Dr. Kenneth Lindahl is the first Ophthalmologist in the greater Rochester area to offer the newest, FDA approved Trifocal Intraocular Lens (IOL) for cataract patients, the AcrySof IQ PanOptix Trifocal IOL.

Just as the weather began to warm up, we held LASIK & LAGER events at the local breweries and gave away a free LASIK procedure to the lucky drawing winners. Thank you to our hosts, Rohrbach Brewing Company, Genesee Brew House, 80W, and Three Heads Brewing.

Every year, in honor of September 11th, The Rochester Eye & Laser Center honors those who work and sacrifice to protect us each day, by awarding free LASIK Laser Vision Correction Surgery to a deserving, local first responder. As August rolled around, we geared up for our annual Eyes on our Heroes LASIK Giveaway. Our office chooses the finalists and then the community votes.

We also held a LASIK Open House, and three Dry Eye Information Sessions, including a free Dry Eye treatment giveaway.

Coming up in 2020 we are holding a Cataract Lunch & Learn on January 22nd, from Noon – 1:30. Get your free tickets and enjoy lunch on us.

Are you a member of Midtown Athletic Club? If so, join us on January 23rd at 5:30, for a LASIK Happy Hour at Midtown Athletic Club.

This year also brought us out of our office and into your homes, in real time, with our Facebook Live sessions.  We previewed some of the hottest trends in eyewear, all available in our Optical Shop and broadcast a live LipiFlow procedure during one of our community Open Houses.

RochesterEyeLaserTeamAs you can see, 2019 has been a busy year for us at the Rochester Eye & Laser Center. Now that we’ve taken a look back, we must take look ahead. 2020 promises to be just as busy and we can’t wait!

Happy Holidays from all of us at the Rochester Eye & Laser Center. We wish you Clearly Better Vision for 2020. We are here to help.
