Hottest Trends in Fashion Eyewear for Fall

glasses_frames_metal_plastic.jpgHow would you define your lifestyle? Are you a serious business person, a parent, an outdoor enthusiast or a student? Are you retired and loving it, or perhaps a creative; a writer or graphic designer, something along those lines?  Many of us fall into more than one category and in order to provide you with clearly better style and comfort options, we’ve compiled the hottest trends in fashion eyewear this fall.

Strictly Business:

It’s usually best to select a conservative look when choosing frames that convey confidence to your customers and coworkers.  Traditional colors and familiar shapes help instill trust in your daily interactions with the people around you. Stay away from bright colors when it comes to plastic frames.  Tortoise, Stainless Steele, and Titanium frames are popular options.

The Consummate Creative:

Let your inner Fashionista dare to show the flare of your creative side. Look to modern shapes, thicker, larger plastic frames, perhaps even add a vintage or retro feel.  Geometric designs, bright bold colors, and unusual laser cut details are popular and stylish options.

The Buzz for Boomers:

Just because you’re now eligible for the discount coffee at the fast food restaurant doesn’t mean you have to wear unfashionable, antiquated style glasses.  We all want to look young, hip, modern, try uplifting shapes like cat-eye or upswept rectangles, these shapes will immediately update your look.  For women, lighter colors and more shiny materials add life to your face. For men, try deep brown, gunmetal or burgundy.

The Savvy Student:

Regardless of your major, college is the perfect time to establish your own identity.  You are at liberty to show off your style without the constraints of a conservative corporate environment. Bold bright colors and unusual shapes are the name of the game on campus this fall. Larger size frames with unusual details are stylish and you can find fun options available in any price range.  You’re young and free, express yourself!

A stylish but basic pair of glasses, ones that go with whatever you wear, are ideal for a busy parent on the go. No need to worry about the latest eyewear trends, or which glasses go with what outfit. Colors such as deep red, purple, forest green and black can add a pop of interest to a more basic style frame. If you want a little more fashion, try a frame with your favorite designer logo, or metal accents that give the frames a more bejeweled look.

The Active Adventurer:

Do you consider yourself a weekend warrior?  People with active hobbies can be particularly hard on their glasses.  Just as you wouldn’t wear wing-tip shoes hiking, your daily-wear glasses may not be a good fit for a sporty or active hobbyist.  Choosing a second pair based on comfort, safety and performance is the solution. A wraparound style in a bold, bright color may be a great alternative to your usual 9-5 glasses.
