What a year 2020 has been!

What a year 2020 has been!

Happy Holidays 2020As we wind down 2020, we think it's fair to say, it's been a challenge for everybody. We appreciate the adjustments that our patients have made and continue to make as the year has gone along.

We have learned and followed pandemic safety CDC guidelines. Fortunately, in addition to our doctors, we have registered nurses on-staff, trained in sterile practices, and able to administer COVID-19 tests right in our offices. We are conducting COVID-19 testing in our office before patients go through LASIK, LASIK+KAMRA, or Cataract surgery.

The year started normally after a nice holiday break... and then came March. We had to shut down the practice for anyone who didn't have an emergency.

As the saying goes, where there's a will, there's a way, and that has been the case with us this year. We began seeing some patients virtually, via telemed appointments, in April. We also added drive-thru eye pressure checks in our parking lot, for our glaucoma patients. This helped get us through a tough couple of months trying to see our patients.

In May we were allowed to open and serve all our patients once again, but under some strict guidelines that we adhere to still. We innovated to continue to serve you, including how we schedule appointments and how we “socially distance” with minimal people in our waiting area, and how we clean and prepare all of our exam rooms.

We began doing monthly Virtual LASIK Seminars in April, for the many people who were scheduled for our free consultation, or who wanted to learn more about LASIK. These have been very successful and Dr. Lindahl and the LASIK team, love doing them and getting the chance to talk to everyone and answer their questions about the procedure, the LASIK experience, and the technology.

We are truly grateful to our patients for their patience and positivity throughout this time. They certainly make us smile.

We wish you a very happy holiday season and look forward to 2021 with some exciting new technologies to introduce!

Please stay safe and be well during the holidays.
