Medicare and a majority of health insurance plans usually cover most of the cataract surgery along with a standard cataract lens.This will give you the clear vision that cataracts have obstructed. But if you needed glasses for distance or reading before cataract surgery, it is likely that you will still need them afterwards, because some vision disorders are not related to the lens – they are the result of irregularities of the cornea.

Dr. Lindahl discusses technology with local Optometrists

On October 16, 2019, Dr. Ken Lindahl was the keynote speaker at the Rochester Optometric Society. He presented to approximately 70 local Optometrists over a dinner at the Inn On Broadway. His presentation, named How Low Can We Go? - Surgical Correction of Astigmatism and Glaucoma Surgery for the Cataract Patient was very well received.
Dr. Lindahl discussed his philosophy on managing astigmatism, tools and diagnostics, glaucoma treatment for the cataract patient and advanced technologies. He reviewed a series of case studies and took Q & A in this interactive presentation. Optometrists received Continuing Education credits for attending.
