Welcome Dr. Jaime Kenny!

We are happy to introduce the newest OD to our patients and have her as our newest team member at the Rochester Eye and Laser Center.

Dr. Jaime Kenny recently joined the Rochester Eye and Laser Center team after working in the specialty for 20 years.  She graduated from William Smith College with her BS in Physical Chemistry.  From there she continued on to earn her optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. 

Dr. Kenny provides routine and medical eye care to adults and children. Dr. Kenny also assists with pre-and post-operative care following LASER vision correction and cataract surgery. 

Rochester Eye and Laser Center is so excited to have her as part of our team.

Caring for Contacts

One of our specialties at Rochester Eye and Laser Center is prescribing and fitting patients for contact lenses, which can provide improved vision for those who are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism.

More than 30 million Americans wear contact lenses, and according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), almost one million of them a year visit their eye doctors for eye infections caused by improper contact lens care. The condition is called keratitis, which occurs when the cornea becomes infected with fungi, bacteria, or other microbes, leading to pain, inflammation, scarring, and vision disturbances – possibly including blindness.
