What's New Around the Rochester Eye & Laser Center?

We've been watching the construction outside our windows and inside our windows as well.

That’s Dr. Ken Lindahl from the Rochester Eye and Laser Center. Work has just been completed on an extensive upgrade of their facility at North Union and Charlotte Street right near East Avenue

Dr. Lindahl: I wanted a full-service eyecare center that would serve the city and the surrounding six counties.

Lindahl invested in the existing facility to create new state-of-the-art patient areas and an entirely new retail Optical Shop. Lindahl says the inner loop transformation combined with the benefits the East End already provides, made it an easy decision to invest in the Inner Loop location.

Dr. Lindahl:  Some folks say they don't want to come downtown but I wanted a place that was centrally located in the East End, and the Inner Loop region is wonderful for my patients to come from all over the area.

Andrea Kenney-Zimmerli (COO):  We have really nice restaurants here in the city. We have popular attractions that we’re near.  There's great shopping and we are conveniently located with ample parking. We have a great friendly staff here to assist you and we're in a very safe area.

Lindahl sees the benefits of the Inner Loop transformation, combined with the Jazz Fest, Eastman, The Strong Museum, and access to all that Park Avenue and the University neighborhoods provide.

Dr. Lindahl: I've been coming downtown all my life to church, to the Eastman Theater and I wanted to put a practice right here, where my heart is, and make things better and make a difference here Rochester.
